Where is my life going?

Wow

So last night I learned that an old friend got engaged and while anyone with a brain knew it would happen eventually it still makes you say "wow".

For whatever reason it just really hit me as a symbol of growing up. Seems like just yesterday that I saw these two get together. That was what... 6 years ago? at least? Thats the kind of connection I think we all long for at some point in our lives. A few years ago I thought I had one too. (haha yea, that didn't turn out the way I thought)

I guess the fact that I feel so far away from a connection like that really is what gets to me. Sure I'm only 21 and I have plenty of time to find someone. That being said though, I'm not gettin any younger here. I shouldn't be this lonely and unhappy with being single at this age. Most people live it up in college (or at least thats what they say years after the fact).

All of my personal demons aside though I gotta say I'm truly happy for the couple I previously mentioned. If you spend that amount of time together you gotta be having a good blast. (at least most of the time haha) My well wishes go out to them and their happiness in the years to come.

Now its time for the rest of us to find the same thing!

I am really feeling this whole web 2.0 thing so I decided to create a blog. I know these are a bit archaic considering the plethora of social media nowadays, but I kept asking myself why not? So here I am.... ok thats enough for today haha.
